At first glance it seems like they've put allot of time and effort into it. They have some pretty cool and seems like easy to add features. Haven't went through any of the tutorials yet and I already have a simple text boxes with labels and a button that hopefully will send the text to a DB.
They also have some "Not ready for prime time" apps. These include:
GameClient - Provides a way for applications to communicate with online game servers
TinyWebDB - is an App Inventor component that allows you to store data persistently in a database on the web.
Voting - enables users to vote on a question by communicating with a Web service to retrieve a ballot and later sending back users' votes.
